ACCOMMODATION

Self-catering and backpacker accommodation is offered at the UCT Living Landscape training centre. This is ideal for schools, study groups, visitors, week-enders or backpackers who are intent on enjoying the magnificent Clanwilliam scenery or experiencing the Warmhoek Rock Art Trail. By arrangement study groups can engage in activities on offer and we welcome schools to make use of the trained guides and educators associated with the Living Landscape Project. The cost of accommodation and use of the facilities is R20 per learner per night.

Hall
The old hall has been renovated to form an open exhibition, meeting and teaching space.

Courtyard
This is an open space available for outdoor living and eating.

Accommodation and Office
The three old classrooms have been renovated into an accommodation space for up to 25 learners, as well as accommodations and an office for a visiting researcher or teacher.

Ablution facilities
These include toilets, basins and hot and cold shower facilities.

Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with all basic amenities as well as crockery, cutlery, refrigerator, stove, tables and chairs.

School requirements

Participating schools will be expected to transport students to and from Clanwilliam, and provide meals and supervision for the learners during the course of their stay there. By special arrangement shopping can be done for meals and basic meals prepared.
